How to Feed Your Dog Lettuce?

Romaine lettuce is considered to be the most nutritious of lettuces, it’s definitely something to share with your pooch.

Many dogs love to just eat fresh raw lettuce, so you can just try to offer your dog a raw leaf to chew on, just make sure you thoroughly clean it first. Alternatively, you can process the leaves in a food processor or a blender. You can then add the puréed lettuce to home-cooked dog meals or treats to make them more nutritious.

Note that lettuce is one of the vegetables that is better eaten raw than cooked, so there’s no need to cook lettuce before serving it to your dog.

As I emphasized before, only a small amount of lettuce or other vegetables is safe for dogs in any one sitting. That’s simply because eating a large amount of vegetables is very likely to upset a dog’s stomach and cause diarrhea.
